McKenzie Friends

We would love you to join DADSS in our mission to support individuals facing false accusations. 

In many of our cases, clients are unable to access legal aid and cannot afford a solicitor. While our partner solicitor firms have pledged pro bono support, it is often more practical and cost-effective for clients to instruct a McKenzie Friend. 

Our caseload includes assistance with defending Non-Molestation Orders and DAPOs, resolving child arrangement disputes, correcting inaccurate DBS records, challenging police information disclosed under Disclosure and Barring Service (including Claire’s Law), and supporting clients with financial arrangements and divorce petitions, among other matters. 

We offer two levels of McKenzie Friend referral service:

• Pay-per-referral: £68.50 + VAT per triaged referral
• Subscription service: £512 + VAT per 30-day period, guaranteeing a minimum of 10 client referrals

There is no fixed-term contract for the subscription service, allowing you to join or pause your participation as needed. 

Payment is taken via direct debit, and referrals begin from the date payment is received. 

We aim to provide high-quality, pre-screened client referrals. If you are not satisfied with the quality of referrals, we offer a money-back guarantee. 

We speak to every client, no form filling, no AI call screening, no chatbot – all their details with a description of their situation are collected and passed to you. They then become your client forever.

We recognise that some referred clients may only require initial procedural guidance and may not immediately proceed to a paid instruction. In such cases, we will nevertheless refer the client to you for your professional assessment and assistance. Any further engagement, including whether to accept instructions, will remain entirely at your discretion.
